The Meter

LEVEL — live input level (dBFS mapped −60…0). Green window is a provisional tuning band: no measured champion amplitude reference exists, so this band is a bench aid, not a claim.

PITCH — dominant pitch, log scale 100 Hz → 4 kHz. The champion band appears here only when a measured frequency reference exists for the selected call.

Honesty

What this chain can hold: live browser/phone capture is scored on frequency + amplitude + timing only.

AGC: auto-gain-control is requested OFF because it flattens the dynamics ASCE grades. The pills above report what the browser actually settled to — if AGC shows ON, the level axis is being flattened by the OS and this bench says so instead of pretending.

Demo feed is a SIMULATION. It drives the same adapter path as the mic so look/feel/function can be tuned without a call in hand, and it is labeled as simulation the entire time it runs.
